This Season of Pentecost

The Holy Spirit invites us to pray for comfort and hope. The Spirit—our Helper—strengthens us in our faith. He reminds us that Christ, our Savior, holds us firmly, and helps us hold firmly to Him. The Spirit consoles and confirms that God’s Word is true and His promises are sure.

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you."

John 14:26

I believe that by my own understanding or strength I cannot believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to him; but the Holy Spirit has called me through the Gospel…”
— Martin Luther, Small Catechism, Explanation of the Third Article

“On Pentecost the Word of Christ went out into all the world. The flame was kindled not for the apostles alone, but for every Christian who bears the name of Christ.”
— C. F. W. Walther, 19th-century Lutheran theologian and first LCMS president

Give Online

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.     2 Corinthians 9:7
